StrangeFlow Jouis 2nd album is evolving into a different direction and drops the usage of the 70s psych rock song writing they did in Dojo. Instead the sound and mix appears a lot bigger and fatter and more modern and is yet very creative and trippy. Cool stuff! Favorite track: Turtle.

muschiosauro In this second album, they decided to drop some of the pop/folk/psych moments that enriched Dojo in favour of a more jazzy Canterbury sound, but it's all still very charming. Favorite track: Sinking Statues.

High expectations!

zingy Have been enjoying their music for some years and this latest release doesn't disappoint! On intial listen it has a lovely flow that washes over you and while sounding similar their sound has definitely moved on and love the groove of Sinking Staues! Favorite track: Sinking Statues.

Jouis return with their second album ‘Mind Bahn’, their first album for None More Records following up 2015’s self-released ‘Dojo’.

‘Mind Bahn’ is 9 tracks of groove laden psychedelic folk rock. Drawing on the Canterbury Scene groups of the late 60s / early 70s such as Caravan and Soft Machine, Jouis' sound melds these influences with their own mellifluous West Coast harmonies, inimitably skewed grooves and ambitious, spaced-out musical explorations.

The first single is ‘Sinking Statues’ a riff led, groove heavy banger, with a monster ‘refrito’ from the Flying Mojito Bros as the flip, and will be available as a digital single in January.

The FMB's Refrito is only available as part of the digital download, and is not included on the vinyl.

Jouis are a three piece from Brighton, UK comprising Joe Woodham (vocals, bass, guitars) Louis Pavlo (vocals, keyboard, synths and piano) and Adam Johnson (vocals, drums and percussion)
